Life in Edmonton

This past week has been pretty great, I've been busy with work, but I got let off fairly early and I got to come back to Edmonton and hang out with some people from The Project, so that's sweet. I'm probably going to end up getting more involved at CCC over the summer and into the fall, depending on how everything else with life goes.

At church on Sunday - CCC:
John & Anna Youth Pastors Preaching:
CCC Update
Pickup ball Aug 2. CC Visual Productions. Family Camp Aug 24-27.
Anna & Johns relationship is fun 😂.
"There is lots of fishing to do."
-Sense of Mission, purpose, and a plan to accomplish together as a community.
John 21:1
[at the moment I'm writing down some childhood memories, being a little introspective]
Things that one has to know about the situation that is going on around them.
Especially about being a Christian; discipleship.

Going fishing
1. There are lots of fish to catch
2. Strategy is crucial
3. Obedience is essential
4. Quantity is relevant
5. Quality is crucial
6. The right net is necessary
7. Loving Jesus is the most important

[ok I'm reading some super old fscebook messages form pre 2010, holy I am actually kinda impressed at my subtleties, like not super amazing, but still just the fact that they existed and that I don't even remember typing these things but I still know that it was what I would have written at the time. Just a cool insight I observed]

Anna's preaching is excellent.
Jesus is more than enough, he has qualified us to be ministers to others, to go out and minister.
Recap 1-7

I got to hang out with the CCC people this afternoon; a little young adults get together at Rundal Park, just south of Vic Trail.

At The Project in the evening:
Announcements:
Project Reach, caring for those in Edmonton in practical ways.
Thomas:
TUL, did you know?
I think all these "facts" are incorrect in some way.
'Ghost Story'
Nebuchadnezzar
Learning about what not to do through his life.
In the book of Daniel.
Brought the Jews into captivity, insulating his life and blinding himself to the fact that he was very wrong.
His pride kept him from seeing that what he was doing was wrong.
Shadrack, Meeshack, and Abednigo.
...
Daniel 4:36
Own it, do something, decide a plan.

Today has new a great day to review my life over Facebook messages and memories. Not finished yet, in 2013 almost!
That's all for now.
